Rundown Intake
Instead of copying lyrics into slides one by one, you paste the order of service as text, for example from a chat message or meeting notes. WorshipDeck reads it line by line:
- Songs. It recognizes hymn numbers such as
SDAH #159and looks them up in the local hymnal, including stanza numbers. - Bible readings. A line labeled
Verse Reading,Memory Verse, orAyat Bacaanfills the reading reference, for exampleJohn 3:16-17. Click Resolve to fill in the KJV text from the local Bible. - Unrecognized lines. A line the parser cannot match stays visible in a review list.
Lagu Buka, Lagu Tutup, Ayat Bacaan, and Keluarga dan Pemuda. Other Indonesian labels, such as "Khotbah" or "Pembacaan Alkitab", are not recognized yet. Sending an order of service from Telegram or a script through a webhook is coming soon.
Layout Canvas
A new install starts with no layouts, and with the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal and the King James Version. You build each layout on a visual canvas, without touching code, or import a PowerPoint (.pptx) file to fill a slide sequence. An import does not always match the original exactly, but it saves typing. The 38 sample layouts appear only in demo mode.
- Visual editing. Move and resize text boxes, add shapes, and change font size, line height, letter spacing, and text shadow.
- Backgrounds. Black by default, or an image from the Background Library.
Offline PowerPoint export
WorshipDeck can export the slide plan as a standalone .pptx file, without an internet connection:
- Embedded fonts. Fonts such as Archivo and Source Sans 3 are embedded in the file, so a guest speaker's laptop or a backup computer opens it without missing-font warnings or shifted layouts.
- 16:9 slides. Slides are exported in 16:9 widescreen format at 1920×1080.
- No Office needed to export. WorshipDeck builds the file itself, so Microsoft Office does not have to be installed on the computer that exports it.
- Hidden slides excluded. A slide hidden with the eye icon in the run sheet is left out of the exported deck.
Two-Screen Presenter
The operator and the congregation see different screens:
- Operator console. Shows the current and next slide, a filmstrip, the slide list, the order of service, and controls for scripture, transitions, and the announcement loop, on a dark background.
- Congregation screen. A borderless 16:9 window that follows the operator console through the browser's
BroadcastChannelon the same computer. The button that opens it is Open congregation screen. - Live Bible verses. Type a reference in the console and push the verse straight to the congregation screen, without preparing a slide for it.
- Blank screen. Press B to blank the congregation screen, for example during prayer, without losing your place in the service.
- Slide visibility. Click the eye icon next to a slide in the run sheet to skip it for this run: it is left off the congregation screen and out of the exported PowerPoint deck, without deleting it. Click it again to bring it back.
- Offline resilience and the Emergency Canvas Designer. If the server briefly becomes unreachable mid-service, the presenter keeps projecting from a local cached copy of the rundown. The Emergency Canvas Designer lets you draft a replacement slide on the spot, including uploading and cropping a background image to the 16:9 congregation screen, with your emergency edits saved and applied without a live server connection.
Phone remote over Wi-Fi
You can change slides from the pulpit, the stage, or the floor with a phone browser:
- Pairing. On a phone connected to the church Wi-Fi, open the Mobile URL shown on the operator console for that service, then enter the 6-digit pairing code shown on the presenter laptop.
- Large buttons. The remote has large, high-contrast buttons you can press with one thumb.
- Local network only. The phone and the computer talk over WebSockets through the church Wi-Fi router. No internet connection is needed.
- Server installs only. The phone remote works when WorshipDeck runs on a server on your church network. The desktop installer does not support it.
Built-in hymnal and Bible
Two texts are stored in the local SQLite database and work without an internet connection:
- Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal (SDAH). The text of all 695 hymns.
- King James Version (KJV). All 31,102 verses of the Old and New Testaments.
- Search. Search hymns by title or lyric, and look up Bible references, offline.
