Run WorshipDeck on a computer on your church network, prepare a service, and present it on two screens.

About WorshipDeck

WorshipDeck is presentation software for church multimedia volunteers. You paste an order of service, and it builds the slide plan: songs, Bible readings, and the other parts of the service. It replaces copying lyrics between browser tabs and rebuilding PowerPoint slides by hand every week.

It runs as one server on your church network, with its own SQLite database, and you open it in a browser. It needs no account with us and no subscription, sends no telemetry, and is free software under the MIT license. An experimental Windows desktop installer runs the same app on one computer.

How it works offline

Service plans, names, and prayer requests are stored in a SQLite database on your computer. WorshipDeck sends no telemetry and does not upload your data anywhere.

Four ideas shape how WorshipDeck behaves:

  • No internet needed. If the church internet goes down before the service, slides, the hymnal, and Bible lookups keep working because they are all on the computer.
  • One slide plan. The order of service, the operator console, the congregation screen, and the PowerPoint export all come from the same slide plan.
  • Easy for a stand-in. The operator console shows the current slide, the next slide, and the order of service, so a volunteer who did not prepare the service can still run it.
  • PowerPoint as a backup. You can export a .pptx file with the fonts embedded at any time and present it from another computer.

Where to start

The documentation has four pages:

  • Getting Started: on your own server, which is the main way, or with the experimental Windows desktop installer, then a first service in about 10 minutes.
  • Features & Workflows: rundown intake, the layout canvas, PowerPoint export, the two-screen presenter, the phone remote, and the built-in hymnal and Bible.
  • Configuration & Admin: form fields, the matching rules and their sandbox, announcement flyers, backups, and fonts.
  • Build & Contribute: development setup, the rule against real member data in the repository, tests, and the license.
